SANFL is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people participating in, officiating or associated in any way with football in South Australia. SANFL’s Member Protection policy and commitment also extends to vulnerable and marginalised groups.
Working with Children Check (WWCC)
People working or volunteering with children in South Australia, must, by law, have a valid WWCC. The aim of WWCC’s is to keep children and young people safe.
Volunteers who require a new or updated WWCC can access the application form:
Behaviour Management System
The Hills Football League (HFL) has mandated a Behaviour Management System for the 2026 season.
- On-Field Behaviour Ranking System
- Player Behaviour Score
- Officials & Coaches’ Box Behaviour Score
- Supporter Behaviour Score
- Club Points & Penalties (across all grades: A Grade, B Grade, C Grade, U18, U17, U16 and U14) This includes Div 1, Country Division and Womens Football
- Historical Rating
The aim is to foster an inclusive, safe, respectful and enjoyable environment for all.
The following player and spectator behaviours will accrue poor behaviour points:
- Abuse or intimidation
- Personal or degrading abuse
- Approaching umpires and degrading them
It’s important that all players and supporters are aware of the new rules as breaches can result in fines and the loss of premiership wins.
